Simplifying KPIs and Ensuring Mobile Access to Data Insights Across Campus

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, through its University Housing team, used TMA Systems’ CMMS product WebTMA to manage maintenance across more than 3.75 million square feet in 122 buildings. Although they had used the system since 1994, they initially relied on it mainly as a work order tool and wanted to better track maintenance data to improve operational decisions and reduce wasted time and resources.

TMA Systems helped the university expand WebTMA with Executive Dashboards and mobile capabilities, giving supervisors and technicians clearer visibility into current and outstanding work and enabling work orders to be accessed and updated anywhere. As a result, the Housing Department increased its annual work orders to about 38,000, improved efficiency, and cut costs on paper, office supplies, campus travel, and approval delays.
