New York Department of Environmental Conservation - Customer Case Study

TMA Systems partnered with the New York Department of Environmental Conservation (NY State Parks) to replace and centralize maintenance management across a vast, decentralized operation: roughly 350 permanent and 1,000 seasonal staff, 1,900 facilities, a fleet of about 15,000 vehicles plus 2,745 pieces of mobile equipment, and regional offices responsible for most field work. The challenge was to deploy a unified Maintenance Management System (MMS) that could support facilities, fleet and equipment maintenance across diverse sites while integrating with the department’s centralized planning and regional execution structure.

TMA won the contract after an extensive vendor selection and implemented TMA Enterprise, TMA iServiceDesk, TMA Key Management and TMA Utility Management over a 14-month engagement that included system implementation, training and ongoing services. TMA and DEC each assigned project managers and support teams, more than 100 staff were trained, and the rollout concluded with user training; the project met and exceeded the department’s requirements and expectations, delivering a consolidated MMS for facilities, fleet and equipment maintenance.
