Robinson Nursery, a second-generation, family-owned wholesale grower and distributor of more than 200 varieties of shade and ornamental trees, needed reliable temperature control across its cold-chain shipments. Its previous visibility solution was inconsistent, with trackers that didn’t always work, incomplete data, and information that often wasn’t delivered in real time, putting trees at risk of flash freezing during transit.

Robinson Nursery implemented Tive’s real-time visibility solution, using Solo 5G trackers and the Tive cloud-based platform to monitor location and temperature throughout shipment. Tive gave the company real-time alerts, a clear audit trail, and secure shipment tracking for customers, improving communication and accountability while helping identify temperature excursions and root causes; in one case, Tive data showed a 90-minute temperature drop below 30°F, and in another it revealed trees were left in a parking lot in single-digit temperatures.
