DSM selects TITUS to Prevent Data Leaks; Making it Easier to Identify Sensitive Data

DSM, a global science-based company with 22,000 employees, needed a way to help staff securely handle corporate information and reduce the risk of accidental data leaks. To address this challenge, DSM selected Titus and its TITUS Classification for Microsoft Office to make it easier for employees to identify sensitive documents and better understand data security policies.

Titus implemented user-level classification and labeling for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files, prompting users to mark sensitivity before saving or printing. The solution visually labeled documents, embedded metadata for downstream DLP decisions, and helped educate employees and raise awareness across the organization, strengthening DSM’s data loss prevention efforts and improving protection of corporate information.
