Forthryte Services Inc., the only locally owned waste disposal, potable water and septic vac provider in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, needed to protect its fast-response competitive edge. With a 10+ heavy truck fleet, dispatchers were spending most of their day on the phone, drivers weren’t reliably recording departure times, and visibility into vehicle location and job status was limited. Forthryte chose the Alberta-based Certified Tracking Solutions team and the Titan GPS fleet tracking system to address these challenges.

Certified Tracking Solutions implemented Titan GPS, giving dispatch real‑time locations, daily departure reports, landmarks/alerts and reporting analytics. As a result, trucks were leaving the yard on time, drivers were paid from the moment a truck exited plus the 30‑minute pre‑trip, dispatch could assign the nearest crew and provide accurate ETAs (increasing jobs completed and customer satisfaction), and safety alerts helped identify aggressive driving and locate a driver during a rollover with precise coordinates and an incident report for police. Titan GPS also enabled a dispatcher to work remotely from Ontario, improving retention and staffing flexibility.
