Foursquare is a location-intelligence company used by more than 50 million people and by partners such as Apple and Uber. Its small finance team of five supporting ~300 employees faced a slow, manual accounts-payable process: informal vendor approvals, manual data entry into NetSuite, printed checks requiring CFO signatures, and a monthly AP close that could take up to 20 days.

By deploying Tipalti, Foursquare automated vendor onboarding, OCR invoice capture, payment processing, and NetSuite reconciliation for roughly 500 vendors. The system flags duplicate invoices, prevents payment errors, and speeds approvals, cutting the AP close from ~day 20 to day 4 (a 16‑day improvement), enabling faster reporting and more timely vendor payments and relationships.
