Case Study: FanDuel achieves real-time analytics and faster feature delivery with Tinybird

A Tinybird Case Study

Preview of the FanDuel Case Study

FanDuel scores big with real-time insights via Tinybird

FanDuel, the leading online sportsbook in North America, needed a single source of truth for real-time data so business, product, and software teams could build faster with fresh insights. Although it had already implemented streaming tools for event capture and processing, FanDuel still lacked a self-serve real-time analytics layer that could handle tens of terabytes per week, query billions of rows in milliseconds, integrate seamlessly with Kafka, and keep operational overhead low.

FanDuel chose Tinybird to complement Confluent and Apache Flink, using Tinybird’s real-time analytics platform to build secure, scalable, SQL-based APIs and data products. The result was rapid adoption and faster delivery: over 90% of FanDuel’s data engineers use Tinybird daily, the first production use case went live within 3 months, more than 6 production features were launched between April and August, and query latency stayed under 50 ms for live FanDuel TV stats.
