A Tinybird Case Study
Blacksmith, a startup modernizing Continuous Integration, needed a fast way to add user-facing CI analytics without overloading its production database or building extra infrastructure. The team wanted visibility into workflow runtimes, performance trends, and flaky tests, but Postgres wasn’t a good fit for analytics at scale.
Blacksmith chose Tinybird on AWS to power its analytics pipeline, using Tinybird Events API, Pipes, and API Endpoints to ingest GitHub Actions data, model it with SQL, and serve dashboards on Vercel. With Tinybird, Blacksmith went from zero to production in about 2.5 weeks, achieved sub-50ms p95 latency, cut analytics infrastructure costs by 30x versus its ETL-based ClickHouse setup, and shipped new analytics features much faster.
