A Tinybird Case Study
Audiense, a social audience intelligence company, needed a better way to manage and serve insights from its massive X data set. Its aging MySQL cluster had grown to trillions of rows, cost thousands per month to maintain, and could no longer support the low-latency, high-concurrency analytics experience its users expected. Audiense turned to Tinybird to help modernize its data stack and power its X Evolution feature.
With Tinybird, Audiense migrated its data off MySQL, streaming updates in via the Events API and using Materialized Views and SQL-based API endpoints to deliver real-time analytics. The result was a more scalable, sub-second user experience, with storage reduced from 20 TB to less than 1 TB and 20X less storage overall. Tinybird also helped Audiense avoid hiring 3 to 5 additional engineers and enabled it to unlock new revenue-generating use cases from its data.
