Tintri Enables High-Performance VDI and Helps Consolidate Storage for Business-Critical Applications

MVision, a global financial advisory firm with offices in London, New York, Hong Kong, and Sydney, needed a better way to support its mobile workforce and demanding applications. Its old terminal services and storage setup delivered slow, inconsistent remote access and poor performance for VDI, database, and other virtualized workloads, making it hard for users to work productively across locations. Tintri VMstore was chosen to support MVision’s VMware Horizon View and virtual desktop environment.

Tintri implemented two VMstore T540 systems to centralize MVision’s infrastructure in London and run VDI alongside server workloads on a single storage platform. The results were strong: remote application access improved from up to 10 minutes to just a few seconds, complex CRM SQL queries ran in half the time, and desktop recomposing for the whole firm could be completed in seven minutes. Tintri also improved responsiveness for heavy, graphics-intensive work, simplified management, and increased operational efficiency across all sites.
