RAM Hand-to-Hand Couriers, a leading logistics and delivery provider in South Africa, needed faster, easier-to-manage storage for its heavily virtualized VMware environment. Its existing iSCSI SANs were slow, took months to optimize, and could not keep up with performance demands for SQL servers, virtual machines, and seven years of proof-of-delivery images. Tintri was brought in with its VMstore T650 to solve the storage bottleneck.

Tintri implemented four VMstore T650 arrays, which reduced storage installation time from two hours to about five minutes and greatly simplified administration. RAM reported stronger performance, no further complaints from developers, faster VM cloning from hours to seconds, and the ability to move workloads overnight with VMware vMotion. Tintri also eliminated the need for a dedicated storage administrator, freeing the IT team for higher-value work.
