The City of High Point, a North Carolina city government with a growing VMware virtual environment, was struggling with complex NetApp storage that was hard to manage and lacked the visibility needed to troubleshoot bottlenecks. With more than 50 datastores and limited IT staff, the city needed a simpler, more performance-focused storage solution and turned to Tintri for help.

Tintri, working through 5S Technologies, implemented two Tintri VMstore T820 systems for production and disaster recovery. The result was VM-level visibility, elimination of hundreds of hours of storage management, and at least 50% faster application performance. The city also avoided a six-month datastore reorganization project and saved money by getting hybrid SSD storage at the same price as slower legacy systems.
