SonicWALL, a global network security company, was struggling with limited visibility into VM performance, complex storage management, low VM density, and slow VM cloning across a mix of SAN, NAS, and DAS systems in its VMware vSphere environment. SonicWALL turned to Tintri and its VMstore T445 to better support IO-intensive virtual machine workloads.

Tintri implemented a single 8.5TB datastore on the VMstore T445, consolidating dozens of datastores into one and simplifying administration. Tintri also provided VM- and vDisk-level reporting for better troubleshooting and visibility, helped reduce support calls related to performance, and improved VM density and cloning workflows, enabling SonicWALL to run more concurrent performance-intensive tasks with greater confidence.
