Meridian Credit Union Moves Enterprise Applications and Virtual Desktops to Tintri

Meridian Credit Union, Ontario’s largest credit union, was struggling with a complex legacy storage environment supporting internal applications, customer-facing banking systems, and 300 VMware Horizon View virtual desktops. The old setup was time-consuming to manage, caused performance bottlenecks when one workload spiked, and made it difficult to maintain consistent performance across virtualized workloads.

Tintri implemented four Tintri VMstore systems for Meridian Credit Union’s enterprise applications and virtual desktop environment. The results were strong: storage management time dropped by two days per week, installation took under an hour, footprint and power were reduced by 90%, VDI storage achieved 4.3x space savings, and an enterprise data warehouse job was cut from 9.1 hours to 4.75 hours, a 48% improvement.
