JPS Composite Materials Builds Virtual Desktop Environment on Tintri Application-Aware Storage

JPS Composite Materials, a major U.S. manufacturer, needed more storage performance for a growing virtual desktop environment after its EMC SAN could no longer keep up with rising IOPS demands. Working with Tintri and its partner Net3, the company evaluated Tintri application-aware storage for its VMware vSphere and Horizon VDI setup.

Tintri implemented VMstore T620 systems to support the company-wide VDI rollout, and JPS saw higher IOPS, simpler management, and far faster VM provisioning. The environment now supports 60 virtual desktops with plans to add 60 more, while VM build time dropped from 20 minutes to five minutes, and Tintri also enabled reliable, non-disruptive upgrades and improved user response times.
