Finland’s National Institute for Health and Welfare - Customer Case Study

Finland’s National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) was struggling with severe latency and management headaches in its virtual environment, as legacy EMC storage could not keep up with its large databases and enterprise applications. THL turned to Tintri VMstore T540 systems to support its production VMs and VDI environment.

Tintri implemented two VMstore T540 systems in separate data centers, with nightly replication for critical VMs. The result was a dramatic improvement: application latency dropped from several hundred milliseconds to well under 1 ms, storage administration became much simpler, and THL was able to launch and expand a new VDI initiative from 30 desktops to 100 simultaneous users.
