European Investment Bank (EIB) Selects Tintri for New Virtualized Test and Development Environment

The European Investment Bank (EIB) needed a high-performance storage platform for its VMware-based test and development environment, since its existing Sun StorageTek systems could not keep up with virtualization demands. EIB evaluated options from Tintri and other vendors, looking for a solution that would fit its dev/test workload without unnecessary complexity.

Tintri implemented six Tintri VMstore T540 systems, along with Tintri Global Center and the Tintri vSphere Web Client Plugin, to support EIB’s virtualized test and development environment. The result was production-like performance for dev/test, simpler storage management, and lower power use; EIB also reported a 5% drop in total datacenter power consumption after decommissioning the older arrays.
