Denmark’s Syddansk Erhvervsskole Technical College Graduates to Tintri Storage

Syddansk Erhvervsskole, Denmark’s largest technical school system, was struggling with poor storage performance and growing management complexity as its VMware virtualized environment expanded to around 600 servers. Its Dell EqualLogic storage could no longer keep up with the demands of virtualized workloads such as SQL Server, Exchange, SharePoint, and file services.

Tintri implemented Tintri VMstore T880 systems after a successful proof of concept, helping Syddansk Erhvervsskole speed up applications, simplify storage administration, and reduce datacenter footprint and power usage. The college reported that it could run everything on one Tintri box instead of five Dell arrays, achieving a 5:1 reduction in footprint and power costs, with deployment completed in about 30 minutes and little ongoing management required.
