Clouditalia Relies on Tintri’s VM-aware Storage

Clouditalia, an Italian provider of integrated cloud and telecom services for mid-sized companies, needed better storage performance for demanding customer applications such as real-time ticketing and other high-I/O workloads. Its mix of traditional storage from vendors like NetApp and EMC was too slow, too complex, and too expensive to meet service-level requirements, so Clouditalia turned to Tintri’s VM-aware storage.

Tintri implemented three VMstore T880 systems across Clouditalia’s data centers, improving manageability and delivering much higher performance with very low latency. As a result, application latency dropped from hundreds or thousands of milliseconds to below 10 ms, storage administration was greatly simplified, and Clouditalia was able to launch premium services for high-performance customers while improving satisfaction and competitiveness.
