The City of Suffolk, Virginia’s largest city by area, was struggling with inadequate performance from its existing storage as its virtualized environment and application demands grew. To support SQL Servers, enterprise applications, and an upcoming VDI initiative, the city turned to Tintri after reviewing other storage vendors and evaluating a demo of Tintri VMstore.

Tintri implemented VMstore systems for the City of Suffolk’s VDI and enterprise workloads, and the results were immediate: setup took just 15 minutes and the systems were installed in less than an hour. Tintri helped the city simplify storage management, improve performance, and reduce rack space from 36U to 4U, while enabling the city to become 85% to 90% virtualized and use Tintri as its default storage platform going forward.
