CENTRIA Builds a Solid IT Foundation Using Tintri Storage Systems

CENTRIA, a Pittsburgh-based manufacturing leader, needed faster, more reliable storage to support its Oracle J.D. Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP applications and expanding VDI environment. With a small IT team and no dedicated storage administrator, CENTRIA also needed a solution that would be easy to manage within its VMware vSphere and VMware Horizon environment. Tintri’s VMstore T820 systems fit the requirement.

Tintri implemented a 45-day proof of concept that impressed CENTRIA with strong performance for high-transaction VMs. After that, CENTRIA deployed Tintri VMstore T820 in production in about one hour and began moving away from Dell EqualLogic. Tintri improved performance for business-critical applications, simplified storage management, and delivered significant space savings through deduplication, thin provisioning, and compression, while CENTRIA also planned to use Tintri as its default storage platform for high transactional VMs and VDI growth.
