Bartholomew County Government Slashes Storage Footprint by 50% and Accelerates VDI Performance with Tintri

Bartholomew County, a government organization in Columbus, Indiana, needed a better storage solution for its growing VMware VDI environment because its existing EMC Clariion CX4 system was costly to expand, took up too much rack space, and was difficult to manage. The county also wanted to improve performance for virtual desktops while keeping the infrastructure simple enough for a small IT team to operate.

Tintri implemented a VMstore T540 appliance to support the county’s VDI deployment, delivering high performance and VM-aware management in a compact footprint. With Tintri, Bartholomew County reduced its storage footprint by more than 50%, supported 120 concurrent desktop sessions, improved end-user experience, and lowered helpdesk calls and operating costs.
