A Tintri Case Study
Austin Radiological Association (ARA), a Central Texas healthcare provider with 17 imaging centers and support for thousands of internal and external users, needed to replace a legacy storage platform that was hard to manage and required a dedicated storage specialist. With most of its environment virtualized on VMware vSphere, ARA looked for a simpler, more modern storage solution from Tintri to support radiology, database, and business applications.
Tintri implemented four VMstore systems across two active-active data centers, giving ARA easier VM-level management, faster performance, and simpler replication and recovery with SyncVM. The results included eliminating the need for a highly trained storage engineer, reducing report runtime from 6 hours to under 30 minutes, and cutting rack space and power use by 4x, while also lowering overall cost of ownership.
