A Tintri Case Study
Atlantic Media, the Washington, D.C.-based media company behind publications like The Atlantic and National Journal, needed a more stable and manageable storage platform to support its fully virtualized VMware vSphere environment and growing digital-first publishing traffic. Its existing Coraid storage struggled with uptime, visibility, and LUN sprawl, making it difficult to ensure resiliency and monitor performance across 110 virtual machines.
Tintri implemented two VMstore T620 appliances with a vSphere Web Client Plugin as the new default storage platform for Atlantic Media’s server virtualization environment. The result was a fast, non-disruptive migration with no VM downtime, plus simpler administration, detailed VM-level visibility, inline compression and deduplication for better capacity use, and stronger redundancy and uptime for Atlantic Media’s digital publications.
