PF Chang’s, a national restaurant chain in the food & beverage industry, wanted to turn social media attention into fundraising for Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2014. To spark viral interest they painted the horses at all restaurants pink and launched the hashtag #PaintPFChangsPink, pledging $1 for every tweet with the tag and $1 for every pink sushi roll sold.
They built a microsite and used TINT to aggregate branded and user-generated posts—moderated, easily branded, and dynamically updated without developer support. The campaign generated hundreds of thousands of tweets and roll purchases, exceeded fundraising goals, and raised $100,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
