Case Study: Zonke Monitoring Systems achieves rapid, compliant revenue reporting with TimeXtender

A TimeXtender Case Study

Preview of the Zonke Monitoring Systems Case Study

How implementing a data warehouse helped a business in a regulated industry

Zonke Monitoring Systems (ZMS) operates central electronic monitoring systems for the gambling industry, collecting machine, license and customer data that must be accurately reported to South Africa’s National Gambling Board. Facing large volumes of legacy and real-time data, a strict compliance requirement and a tight six-week deadline, ZMS needed an agile, easy-to-maintain data platform that could also leverage their existing QlikView investment.

Implementing TimeXtender as an agile data warehouse consolidated historical and incoming data, integrated with QlikView via a script generator, and was delivered in four weeks. The result is a centralised, self-service BI environment that lets ZMS produce accurate revenue and licensing reports by venue, region and month, detect tampered machines and trends, meet regulatory obligations and reduce ongoing maintenance costs.
