Heijmans, a listed Dutch construction and infrastructure group of 4,500+ employees, outgrew its legacy Qlik reporting environment after a 2014 SAP rollout. Increasing report demand, thousands of complex formulas across dashboards, slow performance and growing Power BI use made it clear the company needed a single, modern data estate to centralize business logic, streamline data delivery and enable scalable analytics.

Working with E-mergo and TimeXtender, Heijmans built a modern data warehouse on Microsoft Azure that connects SAP and other sources via automated connectors, centralizes transformations and documents data lineage. The move greatly improved Qlik and Power BI performance, reduced report maintenance, created a single source of truth, sped up reporting, simplified governance (including GDPR compliance) and made onboarding new data sources far easier.
