Nordisk Film, founded in 1906 and part of the Egmont Group, is a diversified media company that produces and distributes films and TV, operates leading cinemas, sells gaming products and live-event tickets, and supports new talent. Its legacy 2007 data warehouse — built mainly for its Navision ERP — could not keep up with new, non‑SQL data sources or the high‑volume, time‑sensitive B2C transactions (cinema and gift‑card sales).
