Fenix Outdoor, the retail group behind brands like Fjällräven and Hanwag, wanted to modernize its data setup and move from Excel-based reporting to self-service BI. The company was slowed by a rigid Azure-based data lake, complex ERP landscape, and dependence on an external vendor, making it hard to manage data efficiently and respond quickly to business requests. Fenix Outdoor turned to TimeXtender, with support from twoday, to create a more flexible and future-proof approach.
TimeXtender helped Fenix Outdoor move data from two on-premises ERP systems to the cloud and consolidate sales, purchases, and inventory into a single data warehouse. The new setup enabled incremental loading, cut data refresh time from a full day to about 60 minutes, and allowed reports to be updated hourly. With TimeXtender, Fenix Outdoor now has greater control, faster processing, and the ability to use tools like Qlik Sense and Power BI for better analysis and decision-making.
