Danish engineering firm AVK Group data warehouses its international operations with TimeXtender’s Discovery Hub

AVK Group is a Danish engineering company (3,800 employees) supplying valves, hydrants and components globally through more than 100 operating companies. As the group expanded by acquisition, its many Dynamics NAV/AX instances produced large volumes of fragmented, slow-to-produce reports, so AVK launched the SCIPPER program to unify supply chain, customer service, planning, production and reporting — but needed a future-proof data warehouse that would integrate with existing Microsoft SQL-based systems.

AVK implemented TimeXtender’s Discovery Hub® in 2010 as the central data warehouse and uses TARGIT for reporting. Discovery Hub® automated ETL, provided reusable templates for rapid onboarding of new companies (now 60 NAV and 2 AX on SCIPPER), and enabled daily global reporting. The result: faster, more agile insights and company-wide analysis maintained by a single administrator, with significantly reduced reporting effort and improved scalability for future acquisitions.
