A Timesheet Case Study
Wyeth BioPharma, the recombinant-protein business unit of Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, relied on decentralized, manual time tracking (email, paper and spreadsheets) at its Andover campus, making it difficult to measure project labor costs, enforce time policies, and produce timely, accurate people-cost reports as the organization grew.
Wyeth implemented Tenrox Timesheet in a phased rollout beginning in 2000 and expanded in 2005 to about 2,100 users, adding time-and-labor policy enforcement, payroll and Microsoft Project integration and planned SAP linkage. The automated solution delivered fast ROI—management reports that once took three days now generate in one, clearer project labor-cost visibility for budgeting and cost reduction, fewer payroll re-issues, and a scalable path to extend the system to the Dublin campus.
