CrossPoint Engineering, founded in 1993, is a process and control firm serving pharmaceutical, biotech and specialty chemical clients from offices in Boston and New York. Managing roughly 100 projects a year and about 40 active customers at a time, the company relied on Excel spreadsheets and manual transfers into QuickBooks for time and expense tracking—an error-prone, time-consuming system that slowed billing and made project reporting inconsistent.
After evaluating a dozen solutions, CrossPoint implemented Tenrox Timesheet in late 2004 and went live in January 2005, integrating it with ACCPAC and Microsoft Project. The automated system centralized time, expense and billing workflows, validated data at entry, and produced detailed project reports—cutting data entry and billing time by 80%, shortening the billing cycle, improving invoice control and giving managers clearer project visibility.
