A Timescapes Case Study
EllisDon, a major construction services company, was tasked with a complex $115 million expansion and renovation of the Glenbow Museum. The challenging project required meticulous monitoring of progress and a way to provide public updates, all while working within a tight urban site with extreme weather conditions. To address this, they turned to vendor Timescapes for its construction timelapse and visual data system.
The solution involved installing Timescapes' rugged, solar-powered cameras, which provided real-time and historical visual data with 99.3% uptime. This gave the EllisDon team superior site visibility for tracking milestones, improving safety, and verifying deliveries, saving an estimated 1,400 hours in supervision time. The technology also fostered trust and transparency by allowing the client and the public to view progress, and it was used for community engagement. The success of this project led EllisDon to form a strategic partnership with Timescapes, implementing the technology on over twenty additional projects.
