Fresh Prince Barbers, opened this year by Che Kavanagh, is a 90s-inspired barbershop created to meet the evolving needs of young men by offering a relaxed, community-focused space and high-quality, tailored cuts. Che faced the challenge of breaking into a competitive barber scene while balancing study and building a financially sustainable clientele from scratch.
To address this, Che trained professionally, partnered with complementary co‑founder Andrew Muasika, and built the business around five core pillars—creativity, passion, confidence, diversity and community service—while actively listening to client feedback and showcasing before-and-after work online. Early results show growing customer loyalty, a strong brand presence and a confident, values-driven business model that’s steadily gaining traction.
