Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) wanted to support Team Canada during the Olympic Games and stand out among finance competitors with a campaign that felt innovative, authentic, and built for TikTok. Working with TikTok for Business, RBC set out to boost brand love and encourage the TikTok community to cheer on the athletes through creator-led engagement.

TikTok for Business helped RBC launch a first-of-its-kind Canadian finance campaign using a Hashtag Challenge, Branded Effect, TopView, OneDayMax, In-Feed Ads, and Spark Ads. The #RBCPodiumPose campaign generated 1,409 Branded Effect video creations, 309 million hashtag views, over 13 million reach, 38 million combined impressions, a 3.63% TopView CTR, and an 11.1% lift in ad recall, making RBC the first Canadian bank to use a Hashtag Challenge with a Branded Effect.
