CoLearn is an Indonesian online education platform launched in August 2020 that helps students with STEM, especially math, by delivering video solutions from photographed questions. With limited resources, CoLearn needed a fast, efficient way to reach and engage younger audiences and drive app registrations, so it worked with TikTok for Business using its ad platform.
TikTok for Business transitioned CoLearn from oCPM to App Event Optimization (AEO) focused on the in-app "Registration" event, excluded existing users, used broader demographic and interest targeting, and deployed branded ads plus short creator videos while scaling top-performing creatives. The campaign delivered more than 1.2 billion impressions, cut Cost Per Registration by 12% by month two, increased spend 665% and drove roughly 768% more registrations, helping CoLearn become one of Indonesia’s fastest-growing education apps.
