Universal Pictures worked with TikTok for Business to promote its fantasy comedy film The House with a Clock in its Walls and boost awareness ahead of the movie’s September 2018 release. The studio’s challenge was to engage American users around a “magic” theme in a way that would build excitement and drive interest in seeing the film.

TikTok for Business helped Universal Pictures launch a Branded Hashtag Challenge, #FindYourMagic, supported by Creator videos and branded music to encourage users to share their own magical content and illusions. The campaign generated more than 1.3 million likes on influencer videos, over 19,000 user-generated videos, and helped the official account gain 11,000 followers in six days.
