PUBG Mobile wanted to grow its community and stay top-of-mind in a crowded battle-royale market, particularly around a new in-game event that rewarded players for running distance. Working with TikTok for Business, PUBG Mobile aimed to reach the right audience quickly using TikTok’s advertising and creative solutions, including a Branded Hashtag Challenge, Branded Effect, Branded Music, In-Feed Ads (Video Views objective) and Brand Takeover placements.
TikTok for Business helped launch a celebrity-led #chaybodensang duet challenge featuring Vietnamese star Jack, a custom Branded Effect with in-game items, and coordinated Auction Ads to spark participation. The campaign drove massive engagement: 90,000 video submissions, 229 million video views, 14.4 million engagements, and over 40,000 new followers in six days, while tying the challenge to in-game rewards and a charity donation mechanic.
