Boosting sales for a skincare brand using TikTok's new social commerce features

Glow Recipe, a fruit-forward skincare brand, turned to TikTok for Business after its Watermelon Glow Dew Drops and Watermelon Glow Pore-Tight Toner went viral, producing a +600% spike in daily sales and site sales exceeding Black Friday levels. With roughly 90% of its TikTok-driven e-commerce traffic coming from first-time customers, the brand’s dual challenge was to drive discovery among new shoppers and make it easy for them to complete purchases.

Glow Recipe implemented TikTok Shopping through TikTok for Business’ Shopify integration, building an in-app storefront, adding its product catalog to the shopping tab, and using Product Links to make organic videos shoppable with instant product detail pages. TikTok for Business’ solution helped the brand capture the viral moment, drive discovery and increase purchases, successfully meeting both campaign goals and supporting continued rapid growth.
