Lancaster University, a campus-based institution recognized in national rankings and named 2020’s International University of the Year, needed to boost brand awareness and promote virtual "online open days" to younger, digitally native prospective students. They worked with TikTok for Business, using TikTok Ads Manager and biddable In-Feed Ads to target and engage the TikTok community.

By handing creative control to student ambassadors and leveraging TikTok for Business’ self-serve auction platform, Lancaster ran multiple trend-led, student-generated ads to stay flexible on a tight budget. The campaign delivered more than 10 million impressions, over 9 million engagements and 90,000+ clicks to the landing page, surpassing expectations for a non-agency campaign.
