Appetizing audiences with an awareness-focused food campaign

Tim Hortons, one of Canada’s best-known quick service restaurant chains, wanted to expand awareness beyond breakfast and drive interest in its new afternoon menu items, the Cilantro Lime Chicken and Habanero Chicken Loaded Wraps. To help introduce these new offerings to Canadian audiences, Tim Hortons partnered with TikTok for Business and used TikTok ad products to shift perceptions of the brand’s menu.

TikTok for Business launched an awareness-focused campaign using TopView and In-Feed Ads, featuring close-up macro footage of the Loaded Wraps to spark cravings and attention. The campaign generated 23 million In-Feed Ad video views, reached nearly 2 million users via TopView, and delivered a 16.9% 2-second view-through-rate on TopView; it also drove a 12.5% lift in ad recall and a 6.8% increase in brand association, with awareness outperforming benchmark by 28.3%.
