Case Study: Xbox improves customer experience and accelerates community analytics with TigerGraph

A TigerGraph Case Study

Preview of the Xbox Case Study

Microsoft Xbox Improves its Ability to Transform Its Communities to Loyal Customers using TigerGraph

Xbox, the Microsoft gaming brand with roughly 100 million monthly active users, needed better AI-driven pattern detection and scalable analytics to improve retention and personalize player experiences across massive consumer data. To meet this challenge, Xbox selected TigerGraph’s graph analytics platform to explore relationships in their data and support community-driven insights.

Using TigerGraph, Xbox ran algorithms such as PageRank, Community Detection, Shortest Path and Louvain to segment communities, track in-game purchases and tailor offers and recommendations. TigerGraph enabled incremental updates and scale to 4TB+ of data, ingested Xbox data in 3.5 hours versus competitors’ 7 hours, and ran Louvain in 2 seconds versus 2 hours—resulting in faster, more accurate recommendations, improved game investment decisions, and a more enjoyable, engaging user experience.
