Tigera provides defense in depth for a global SaaS provider to ensure compliance

Global SaaS Provider Company is a global collaboration software provider that needed to modernize its AWS-based microservices architecture while maintaining compliance, fast threat response, and defense-in-depth security. As it moved away from on-premises networking and firewall infrastructure, it faced the challenge of enforcing firewall rules across thousands of dynamic AWS EC2 nodes without relying on physical routing infrastructure or costly NAT gateways.

To solve this, the company deployed a Tigera-based application connectivity architecture, using Tigera Calico network policies alongside AWS security groups to dynamically distribute firewall rules across its AWS fleet.
