Essentra reports zero AKS security incidents with Tigera

Essentra, a global market leader in molded components, needed to migrate its e-commerce application from a virtual machine on Microsoft Azure to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) while meeting compliance requirements. The company also faced inadequate vulnerability management, limited network control and visibility, and difficulty assessing application security posture in one place. Tigera’s Calico platform was used to help secure the move.

With Tigera’s Calico, Essentra improved network control and visibility, strengthened vulnerability management, and centralized application security posture assessment on AKS. The result was a major reduction in attacks and faster issue resolution, with David Curry, Head of Site Security Central at Essentra, reporting that they had not had a single AKS security incident since implementing Calico.
