The customer, Valmet, a leading global developer and supplier for the pulp, paper, and energy industries, faced the challenge of managing the quality and cost of its delivery projects more efficiently across all its global business lines and geographical locations. To address this, they partnered with vendor Tietoevry for a global implementation of the Clarity PPM project portfolio management system.

Tietoevry implemented the Clarity PPM solution in phases, standardizing processes and integrating it with 13 other business systems. This provided Valmet with a single, unified tool for the first time, enabling transparent, real-time project monitoring and improved risk management. The solution manages approximately 25,000 active projects with 1,000 users, and its data is now used to make future deliveries more predictable and efficient.
