The Central Finland Health Care District, the largest non-university hospital district in Finland, needed a reliable and user-friendly solution to expedite patient data entry and availability. Tietoevry's solution, powered by Nuance Dragon technology, allowed doctors to dictate notes that were instantly transcribed into text. This led to considerable savings by removing the need for secretarial transcription and enabled the real-time transfer of medical records between professionals, resulting in faster patient care. Approximately half of the district's 400 specialized healthcare doctors adopted the system voluntarily, citing high-quality transcriptions and significant time savings, and the district is now expanding its use to primary healthcare.
