HUS Time to construct future health care eHealth services and digital treatment paths have come to stay

The customer, Helsinki University Hospital (HUS), faced the challenge of meeting a growing demand for health services while shifting focus to prevention. They needed to digitalize services to match other sectors, utilize existing data for proactive care, and improve accessibility without compromising quality. The vendor, Tietoevry, partnered with HUS to develop the Health Village digital platform and its services.

Tietoevry provided application and architecture development to create the Health Village, a digital service entity featuring information portals and personalized treatment paths. The solution automated routine work, reduced the workload for professionals, and made services accessible to everyone. Key results included 7.5% of all reception visits being conducted remotely in 2020, with a target of 15% for 2021, and a goal to have 20% of patients using digital treatment paths. Tietoevry helped build a reusable eHealth concept that enables efficient, patient-centric care.
