Wienerberger, a major producer of brick masonry and ceramic roofing systems, along with its subsidiary Pipelife, faced a challenge in managing production data from over 200 sites and 1000 different production lines. They needed an economical and scalable industry-standard solution to centrally collect and analyze this localized data to optimize their production processes. Tietoevry was engaged to address this need.

Tietoevry implemented an Azure-based cloud solution to create a central data hub, establishing connections to hundreds of data points and ingesting thousands of signals per second. This provided complete data transparency with user-specific views, allowing different roles to access relevant information. The solution created a solid foundation for increasing efficiency, enabling global visibility into production, improving daily plant operations, and providing a basis for cross-functional optimization teams to gain insights.
