How Luminor bank achieved payment processing independence and consolidation

Luminor Group, a bank formed from the merger of Nordea and DNB's Baltic operations, faced the significant challenge of carving out a separate and independent payment processing system from six different legacy systems to fulfill its acquisition agreement under tight deadlines. To achieve this independence and consolidate its payment flows, Luminor partnered with vendor Tietoevry.

The solution implemented was Tietoevry's Payment Hub, delivered as a Cloud solution, which provided a single platform for all payment processing. Tietoevry successfully executed nine go-lives within 12 months, enabling Luminor to meet its deadlines, reduce operational costs, and ensure regulatory compliance. This project established the foundation for Luminor's digital transformation and was highly commended in the PayTech Awards 2020.
