RMS is an Oklahoma City–based healthcare remittance processor that had grown rapidly and outstripped its self-managed, patchwork colocation infrastructure. Facing capacity limits, aging hardware, and rising security and disaster-recovery needs, the company needed a scalable, reliable IT platform to support high-volume, mission-critical transactions and continued growth.

RMS partnered with TierPoint to move to a custom hybrid private cloud and DRaaS configuration, adding two backup sites (including Dallas) to ensure geographic resiliency. The migration—about three months to stand up the system and 9–12 months to move historic data—enabled on-demand scaling, improved application performance, and a DRaaS guarantee of 100% uptime. As a result, RMS supports rapid 30% year-over-year growth, reduced reliance on outside contractors and in-house staff, and delivered more reliable service to healthcare and banking customers.
